The gold-stoppered 8 ml tube combines a micronised silica clot activator with an inert polymer gel that forms a stable barrier between serum and cells after centrifugation. Vacuum calibration ensures the stated 8 ml draw, promoting consistent clot-to-serum yield. Tough PET construction offers glass-like clarity without shatter risk, and the elastomeric stopper withstands repeated instrumentation punctures. Interior surfactant treatment reduces fibrin strands, delivering cleaner aliquots for analysis. Tubes are free of latex and DEHP, gamma-sterilised and dimensioned for 16 mm-diameter racks and analysers. Each protective tray holds 100 tubes, maintaining vacuum integrity until use.
