This infrared bedside monitor provides discreet, non-contact detection of movement or bed vacancy. A passive infrared sensor scans the mattress edge; when the monitored user leaves or re-enters the area, the unit closes a volt-free circuit to activate any compatible nurse-call, pager or alarm system via the supplied 3.5 mm jack lead. Sensitivity and delay can be adjusted on the front panel to minimise false alerts, while tri-colour LEDs confirm power, link and alarm status at a glance. The low-profile ABS enclosure slips under the bed or mounts to a rail, and the 5 V power adaptor features a screw-lock barrel connector for security.
